Quite simply as the title reads – focus on the HISTORY & EXAM.
How to Apply
Sounds easy? This is becoming increasingly difficult in the current climate where IT is on the rise, investigations are readily available and there’s lots of different input from different specialties (i.e. GP, ED, AMU, Specialties).
Hence there’s a lot of ‘background noise’ which influences our clinical reasoning – spending too long on the computer, anchoring on previous documentations and making up our minds on the investigations before we have even approached the patient! So quite simply – focus on the HISTORY & EXAM!
